Reach Your Dreams – Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Reach Your Dreams Grant 2011

The Reach Your Dreams initiative received a funding boost with $100,000 in funding to help organisations deliver the Duke of Edinburgh's Award to disadvantaged young people. This year’s grant application closed on 13 May 2011.

“Reach Your Dreams is designed to make it easier for organisations to deliver the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and help disadvantaged or vulnerable young people partake in this important program,” Minister for Youth Grace Portolesi said. “The funding will provide financial assistance for young people to complete the mandatory adventurous journey section of the Award.”

Funding is provided on a once-off basis to Licensed Operators who administer the grant monies on behalf of Award participants. A Licensed Operator is an organisation that has registered with the Office for Youth to deliver the Award to young people.
