youthconnect Grants

The South Australian Government is committed to supporting young people aged 12-25 years achieve positive outcomes. Building on South Australia’s new Youth Strategy, youthconnect, the 2012 grant initiative focuses on four priority areas:
  • Health and Wellbeing - keeping young people safe from harm
  • Education, Employment and Skill Development - supporting disengaged young people (17-19 years of age) to re-engage in education, leading to a qualification
  • Engagement and Participation - providing opportunities for young people to be actively engaged in their local communities
  • Better Connection - developing practical guidelines, tools and resources to better support organisations that work with young people.

Grants from $10,000 - $50,000 are available for projects that are delivered over a 12 month period. The funding is non-recurrent and must be matched either dollar for dollar or through in-kind support.

A new on-line application process has been introduced this year to make the grant application process easier for organisations. To apply for the 2012 youthconnect grant initiative
