Youth Engagement Grants

Agencies working with young people aged 12-25 to assist them with their personal and social development can apply for a Youth Engagement Grant.

The grant consists of $20,000 per year for three years.

Non-government and government agencies can apply for
funding to conduct projects that:

• strengthen partnerships
• support young people’s engagement
• promote creative leadership

To support the priorities of the Office for Youth, projects that advance one or more of the following priority areas will be considered:

 •   working with at-risk or disadvantaged young people
•    achieve measurable outcomes for young people
•    sustainability beyond the life of the funding
•    collaborating with other service providers
•    help the agency to work with young people.

The Office for Youth is currently reviewing this grant in accordance with our commitment to supporting the development and implementation of the new strategic youth framework YouthCONNECT.

During 2008-09 11 existing Youth Engagement Grant recipients will continue to be supported through this grant, however no new grants will be offered this financial year whilst the grant is being reviewed.

The Office is continuing to develop funding programs aimed at supporting organisations to develop and deliver initiatives for young people.

We would encourage you to check our website regularly over the coming months to stay informed about emerging opportunities.
