The 2013 youthconnect grants are now open to organisations who work with young people aged between 12 and 25 years living in South Australia.
Total funding of $500,000 is available for projects that support the implementation of youthconnect South Australia’s Youth Strategy 2012-14, across the following priority areas:
- Young people and gambling – educating young people about the risks of online gambling and problem gambling.
- Young people and the juvenile justice system –supporting young people’s transition back into the community after exiting the juvenile justice system.
- Young people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex or queer (LGBTIQ) – developing resources that increase the awareness of, and better educate people about the needs of young people who identify LGBTIQ.
- Providing an outreach service to young people who are vulnerable and/or disadvantaged – achieving positive life outcomes for young people who are vulnerable and/or disadvantaged in our communities through an outreach service delivery model.
South Australian non-government, not for profit organisations or local councils with a current Youth Advisory Committee are invited to submit an application of between $10,000 and $50,000 for projects to be delivered over a 12 month period. Funding is non-recurrent and must be matched either dollar for dollar or through in-kind support.
