What is an Office for Youth A-Team?

The A-Team program, an on-going partnership between the Office for Youth and Adelaide Thinkers in Residence, aims to bring young people’s ideas and energy straight to the heart of government decision making.

It is an exciting initiative that brings together young employees from a range of agencies and perspectives to address challenges facing our community.

The OfY A-Teams:

  • Actively engage and educate a new generation of policy makers;
  • Offer young employees the opportunity to infuse public policy with fresh ideas and perspectives;
  • Enable young employees to understand the benefit of working across government to deliver integrated, flexible solutions to policy challenges.

Technology

This A-Team will run in conjunction with the residency of Adelaide Thinker in Residence, Dr Genevieve Bell. Young people are particularly susceptible to the participation barriers that are the result of digital divide. This A-Team will examine the relationships that young people have with technology and how their access to technology can be improved to maximise their potential.
