About YAP
The Youth Action Plan is South Australia’s framework for ensuring that young people are considered and participate in the delivery of South Australia’s Strategic Plan, to which it is closely aligned. This makes sure that young people are involved in shaping South Australia’s future. YAP has the support of Chief Executives across government and contributes towards high level decision-making in each government department.
The plan has been divided into two parts. Part 1 sets out what the plan wants to do for young people in South Australia, while Part 2 establishes targets to work out how the government is going meet the issues explored in Part 1.
Different government agencies are given responsibility to deliver the plan’s targets with annual reporting on progress being collected and evaluated by the Office for Youth.
