YARN.gov.au is an interactive website designed for young people in rural industries. It is an Australian Government initiative which aims to provide people with a place to interact and share information with others around Australia.
PIRSA Livestock and Animal Health – Young Guns Program
The South Australian Young Guns Project is an initiative of the SA Lamb Development Team (SALDT) which aims to facilitate and support the establishment and operation of seven young sheep and lamb producer groups across South Australia. The program provides a unique learning and social opportunity for young producers to be involved with a group of like minded people who are seeking new ideas and information.

Australia’s Farming Future
Australia’s Farming Future is the Australian Government’s climate change initiative for primary industries. It provides $130 million over four years to help primary producers adapt and respond to climate change.
FarmReady Reimbursement Grants
FarmReady Reimbursement Grants (a program offered through Australia’s Farming Future) assist primary producers and Indigenous land managers to attend approved training courses. Eligible participants can receive up to $1500 each financial year to cover the cost of approved training activities, with additional support available for associated expenses such as excess travel, accommodation and childcare.
Caring for our Country
Caring for our Country Open Grants funding will provide up to $25 million in 2008-2009. This funding is targeted to the following Caring for our Country priority areas: biodiversity and natural icons, coastal environments and critical aquatic habitats and sustainable farm practices. Projects that address environmental and sustainable land management outcomes in remote and northern Australia, improvements to the national reserve system or community skills, knowledge and engagement issues can also be addressed within these priority areas.

AusIndustry is the Australian Government's business program delivery division in the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research.
The Climate Ready Program
The Climate Ready program ($75m over 4 years) is a competitive grants program providing grants from $50,000 up to $5m on a matching funding basis to support research and development, proof-of-concept and early-stage commercialisation activities to develop solutions to climate change challenges.
Next Gen Farmers Grants
Next Gen Farmers Grants is a competitive grants program providing grants from $10,000 to $50,000 to stage events that improve the leadership capacity of young people entering or involved in primary industries, particularly in the context of the challenges and opportunities in these industries as a result of a changing climate. The current grants round opened on 14 October and closes on 13 November 2009. .
